Today the children have all picked a team to support in the World Cup! Each child has brought home their team tonight and we have set them a little task. We would like the children to find out what language is spoken in the country they have chosen, and how to say ‘hello’ in that language – which they can use when we call the register! As my footballing knowledge is not the best, our resident expert in 1D is James who will hopefully help me update our World Cup wallchart. Aman has drawn England, let’s see if we are the lucky ones this year!

Rhys was very excited to watch part of the opening ceremony of the World Cup last night. He got to watch 15 minutes of the game too. Brazil v Croatia. Rhys was keen to find out if Grace or Malik had won the first game! Did you know the clocks are 4 hours behind in Brazil, so when you come to school people in Brazil will still be sleeping!
