An amazing day at the nature reserve

Thursday 23rd April | 4 comments

1GJ have had a brilliant day at Rodley Nature Reserve – what a fantastic resource so close to our school! We have had fun pond dipping, bird watching, collecting leaves, feathers and flowers for our sticky boards and learning about bee keeping. What can your child remember? What was their favourite part? Thank you to the parents who came with us.

It looks like you had a wonderful day at Rodley Nature Reserve. What did you enjoy doing most?
While you were on your trip, I went for a walk near a river and saw a heron. What types of bird did you see? Did you see any other animals?

Thank goodness you had really good weather for your trip.
I think the pond dipping looks fun and I wish I could have come too. What did you catch in your nets?

I loved the trip to the nature reserve. My favourite was all of it because it was all fun and I want to go again.

Me and My Mum went on this trip and we had a great day! My favourite bit was when we went pond dipping; I caught a dragon fly, a pond skater and a tiny fish 🙂
