Wow! Today has been so much fun and you have all made fantastic pirates too. Just take a look at this motley crew…

Ahoy me hearties! We have all experienced lots of different activities today and sailed our pirate ships really successfully across the seven seas. I think there will be some very tired children and teachers tonight! Well done to everyone for really getting involved. This is just a snapshot of some of the learning that has taken place.

Writing a pirate maths problem and putting it on the blog.

Creating and drawing their own pirate.

Using coordinates to put things on a treasure map.

Making treasure maps and pirate ships.

Using an aerial photo to go on a treasure trail around school.

Reading clues to go on a treasure hunt around school – with real treasure!

Some children even got to walk the plank!

A super day but who can tell me what is a pirate’s favourite subject at school?

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrt!

I am so glad you all enjoyed the treasure hunt. I enjoyed it too. You were very sneaky pirates and read the clues so well. Maybe you could hide some treasure in your garden and ask a family member to read your clues to find it?
