Look what is happening in Year 1!

Watch out, Big Bad Bertha’s about…

Tuesday 21st June | 2 comments

This morning Miss Sedman was quietly discussing setting descriptions with Year One when suddenly a pirate came bursting into the hall! We found out that Big Bad Bertha was very mean and she did not like ‘boring’ settings.  Luckily, Year One agreed to help her with some exciting new setting descriptions! They are going to show her that they can use interesting adjectives and powerful verbs to create special settings and write a pirate story. Otherwise the children may have to walk the plank …again….! But Big Bad Bertha may not fish them out of those snappy shark’s jaws so easily next time!

Wow what an exciting morning! I’m glad that I didn’t meet Big Bad Bertha – she looks quite scary. I hope that you all used lots of great adjectives to describe your settings and pirates.

Big bad Bertha does look scarey….. All the children working very hard with their verbs and adjectives… Good work. You don’t want to walk the plank.
