It was lovely to see so many of you at our ‘Spring Chicken Event’ this morning.
We hope you all enjoyed sharing our books, watching the movies and eating the yummy chocolate nests. The children have really enjoyed our chicken topic and this was very clear by the smiles on their faces. Well done Year One!
These are our wonderful videos – watch out Hollywood!

In literacy we completed our chicken books and independently wrote chicken facts. Most children remembered to use capital letters, full stops, conjunctions and adjectives. We have also listened to everyone read and it is good to see so many children moving up a reading level. Please continue with lots of reading and phonic practise at home. Thank you.
In maths we carried on looking at halves and quarters and then the children worked very hard during some short maths assessments.
Here is a link to some maths and literacy games. Enjoy! Please click here.
In RE we have been learning about the Easter story. The children enjoyed opening the eggs to find clues about the story and drawing their own pictures based on the Easter story. They also had lots of fun on our Easter hunt and had to search the classroom and outdoor area looking for Easter objects!
Thank you for all your support.
Have a lovely holiday – we hope the sun shines.
