It’s Friday! Hope you’re all ok.

Hey hey Year 1. We hope that you’re all doing ok and that you’re enjoying your home learning.
Phonics Detective Spotting sheets
We thought, as we enjoyed Phonics Detectives so much in school, that we’d attach a few spotting sheets each time we add a blog post for you do to at home. We’d love to see pictures of you, using your magnifying glasses, finding some objects.
One of our objectives in Year 1 is to be able to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We thought it’d be fun to do this creatively. Poppy & Noah (Mr G’s children) are counting in 5s both forwards and backwards up to 60 (12 lots of 5) by using one of Joe Wicks’ moves, the Spiderman lunge, to practise. Watch them below…it only took about 13 takes. What is it they say…never work with children or animals! So true.
Have you all had fun learning about mass and weight? Mrs Galbraith used her weighing scales and had fun baking buns. I don’t think they are up to Mr Garlick’s standard yet!!
Just a bit of fun, but why not try this indoor scavenger hunt (a clever way of getting your child to tidy their bedroom in the process) to pass the time!
It looks like you have all been busy! Keep sending us your great photographs.
We are going to post a blog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Bye for now.
