On Friday we went up to the farm and harvested out beans! The children were so pleased by how much they had grown. This morning we have made pottage (a traditional medieval vegetable soup thickened with oats) and we added our broad beans to the pan. The pottage will be served at the banquet to be held this afternoon – the children are really looking forward to eating the fruits of their labour! A big ‘thank you’ to Ms Howells for helping look after them for us.

1D went to the farm on Thursday to see the beans we planted a few months ago. It was fantastic to see that they will soon be ready to harvest. Malik suggested we make broad bean soup so we will be adding them to our pottage that we will be serving at the medieval banquet for you to enjoy! Well done1D.
